Not too bad, not feeling too blue, we sat and enjoyed the blue ocean view from a variety of spots around town last Monday.

It was a sunny one, not too chilly, and we wandered from one place to another, basking in the extra day off for a long weekend, and slowing down. That meant from not too quick to almost at a crawl. It felt good, sun on our faces, bald eagles singing, a relatively calm ocean, and some time on our hands to enjoy it all.

I don’t always enjoy the long weekends, it sometimes feels like there is an extra pressure (all in my own head, no doubt) to “make the most” of the extra holiday. I like most days, in my own way, most of the time, so no need to add any extra significance or burden.

Anyway, an extra day, why not go crazy, and have an extra beer? We did, a couple of new ones, from quite local to very local. Both winners, and the red ale edges it if only for being a bit different to my usual fare. A good way to round off a not too blue Monday…

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

getting out is always time to celebrate these days!

“I ain’t blue no more,” the Beefheart sang, and I say, too– despite those excellent blues & brews. Thanks for that, Adam.

Let’s keep singing the happy blues, even if that doesn’t quite make sense. Not too much does, these days!

The blue is so brilliant in the first couple of photos. For some reason, after a long weekend , the shorter work week always seemed longer. i am in the middle of this weekend and am enjoying it.

Thanks, Bob! It is not looking bright blue today, or the past little while – definitely more PNW grey at the moment…
Hope all is well with you!

It really is blue in these scenes, which is marvelous. Thanks for taking us to the shore with you, pc, on your extra day of fun and relaxation. Great that you had sun and bald eagles to join you in such a picturesque place. And Mmmmm to the ales, sound yummy. Cheers to you three grand adventurers.

Yes, funny how we make ourselves feel like if we are not utilizing an extra day of a long weekend, that we missed an opportunity. That red ale has some kick to it. have a wonderful week a head.

Working on letting that guilt go – got enough to deal with without beating ourselves up about other stuff! Yeah, the beer was an unexpectedly good one.
Hope your week is going well!

What a beautiful day and love the photos!! Are you sure you shouldn’t buy Scout some sunglasses, I almost felt like I needed to wear mine looking at all the brilliant blues!! I do believe I might need to wear them here sometime in June. Love the Function Junction label and hope you had an extra one for after the Everton loss and another extra if you checked out the league table. Glad to see the Flames were back to winning and what is going on with some of the high scores in hockey lately (Maple Leafs/Red Wings 10-7). Hope it’s another beautiful week on the coast and I think I’m still seeing spots after looking at all the ocean blue after months of gray)!😁

Thank you! I don’t follow sports, never have, you must have got me mixed up with a different Everton supporter… are there any left?! Oh dear, the table is looking bad right now. Go Flames! And Ireland and England in the rugby. I am a sports fan! (And what about Spurs, confusing everyone?!)
I hope your week is going well!
