Change

Keeping this one brief – we’ve a few changes ahead, and we’re busy preparing!

Ready for anything!

Definitely seeing the change of season. It hasn’t been too warm or sunny the past week, far from it, but it’s been nice to see some early blossom.

Spring?

In a change to the usual, here I am going against my own fashion grain:

It’s not always plaid!

The big change for us is an impending change of location out here on the coast, moving from our little apartment to a little home nestled in the trees. We’ll be able to hear the ocean from our bedroom window. We can now, but only on the big storm days.

Here it comes!

All this change is exciting, but it’s also exhausting…

Slow it down, won’t you?!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I am a would be outdoorsman - that is if I had more time, skills and knowledge. When I can, I love being outdoors, just camping, hiking, snowboarding, xc skiing, snowshoeing, paddling a canoe or trying something new. What I lack in ability, I make up for in enthusiasm and having a go. I'd never really survive for long out there in the wild, but I enjoy pretending I could if I had to...

  1. So many delightful things to comment on, first congrats on the new home and how wonderful to have both the peaceful trees and sounds of the ocean!! Second, love the St. Patrick’s Day attire and glad you were able to enjoy a Guinness during all the excitement. Third, I certainly hope Scout does not have any bears for neighbors and still gets to go on walks by her favorite brew pub! Wonderful photos and enjoy all the exciting changes!!

    1. Thank you! Proximity to the Ucluelet Brewing Company might have been a big factor… The Guinness was good, downed the last after reading about Everton losing to Crystal Palace. A good defeat, so now I don’t have to worry about supporting a team that wins the FA cup but gets relegated the same week. Phew.
I hope your week is going well!

  2. Aw-w-w Scout looks a little pensive, but with all the new scents to discover, it is bound to be a new adventure-hope you and your family love it all. Thankfully unpacking goes much faster than packing! The blossoms are lovely. We had a typical first day of Spring-a little snow. Oh well, good for the forests and farmers.

    1. Scout will love being closer to the trees and beach – we all will! Yes, the packing isn’t fun, but thankfully a short local move end of the month.
It’s pretending to be spring again here after some very cold and wet days. No snow, though – that’s an Albertan spring delight!
Hope all is well with you, Jane.
