This coming Monday! Happy Canada Day if you choose to celebrate.
Happy
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – I’m so happy to be a Canadian citizen and that Canada is my home. It’s not perfect – is anywhere? – definitely a work in progress, but overall seems to be heading in a positive direction.
Sailing in the right direction?
So, happy Canada Day this coming Monday. Maybe you’re Canadian, know some Canadians, live near Canada or just like maple syrup?!
Cheers!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I am a would be outdoorsman - that is if I had more time, skills and knowledge. When I can, I love being outdoors, just camping, hiking, snowboarding, xc skiing, snowshoeing, paddling a canoe or trying something new. What I lack in ability, I make up for in enthusiasm and having a go. I'd never really survive for long out there in the wild, but I enjoy pretending I could if I had to...

Happy Canada Day Adam. Our friends who we were supposed to travel to Vietnam with travelled to Canada after their son had a serious head injury which required brain surgery and extensive rehab. They stayed with him in Kamloops for months and had nothing but praise for the people, the hospital, the community and the care they got.
Yep, Canada’s long been on my wish list. One day! 🇨🇦
Uni buddy of mine from London days moved to Kamloops – it’s some town, in an amazing part of BC. Hot high desert in summer, snow in winter.
When you make it out here, let us know – a cold beer awaits!
America is lucky to have such a pleasant neighbor and nearby place of beauty. I like how you address Canada Day every year, pc, reminding us in the U.S. who can sometimes be oblivious. I will honor Canada and Canadians on Monday, thanks for the reminder. And Happy Canada Day to you.
Happy Canada Day and we need more information about where the great Canadian sailing shot was taken!! Enjoy the weekend and celebration and I may need quite a few beers to help me forget last night’s debate!!🍺🍺🍺
Thank you! It was a warm and sunny one!
The photo was taken at the old town harbour. Yachts preparing for the Quebec City to St. Malo Atlantic race. Every four years and quite a sight.
I’m very nervous for November…
…but very happy for dear old Blighty tomorrow – finally (hopefully) rid of the series of dreadful Tory govts!
My daughter have Canada on her list of places where she wants to live as an adult. I’ve only visited as a vey young child and I believe my memories are mixed with my memories from Alaska (I have been there several times.)
Thank you – it was a pleasant day!
NW BC and Alaska are quite similar, exciting and wild places! I hope your daughter gets the opportunity to spend time there!
Enjoy the celebrations!

Thanks, Walt! Yup, some degree of sanity, at least for a little while… Very nervous about our southern neighbors come November.
