Last week we had the dizzy heights of coastal Maine. This week, after recent events, um, well, there’s a different dizziness and some disbelief around here. I mean, huh?! You did what now?! Hmm, wonder how that will turn out for (non-billionaire) folks over the next few years? Yikes! Oh well, if that’s what you really, really want, then good luck… (If it isn’t what you’d hoped for, I also wish you good luck as depths are plumbed…)

Alrighty, on we go, and let’s look for something more uplifting!

Trees, rivers, mountains, lakes and the like always work for me, so here are a few uplifting images from the last month. Most were taken in Maine or on the (not so) Plains of Abraham when fall was in full colour.
The leaves have mostly dropped now, so let’s skip the dull bit and head straight to proper winter – you hearing my prayer, weather gods?!

Thanks for reading, look after yourselves, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Those colours are stunning. Yep, I think focus on the trees, mountains, lakes and all that beautiful scenery. Definitely more uplifting and probably more real than the alternative. Have a great weekend Adam. 😊

Thanks, Miriam! Yup, a few deep breaths and enjoying the outdoors will keep us ticking along here…
Turned cold this weekend, with a few snow flakes – I’m ready, so let’s get to it, winter!
I hope your weekend went well!

Very lovely colors to help forget a very ugly week!! As I’ve been working on changing my ways and eliminating stress, I’ve been making a list of all the things I have to boycott and I don’t think I have enough journals to list all the things that were added this week. Hope you’re enjoying the weekend and Everton staying clear of the bottom of the table!🙂

Oh goodness, did that really happen?! My brother from down DC way has been visiting for a few days – wasn’t too sure he was ready to head home, might have stayed up here for the next four years…
Everton, still boring, still just above the drop zone!
Hope you can stay as chipper as possible under the circumstances, and maybe the next four years (in politics) will fly by?

Hopefully your snowy winter wishes will come true. Politically, I wish I was a bear that could hibernate for the next four years & maybe even dream in color (like your photos) of what might have been.

I’m still shaking my head a week later. Can’t help thinking about what might have been and what is likely to happen…
Hibernation? Yup, that could work!
Deep breaths, long walks, and dreams of a return to civility and common sense next time around. Can’t say I’m too optimistic just now, but maybe folks will see through the divisive bullshit and aim higher…
