…and beer!

Seems a good place to start – and finish (scroll down to the last photo for “…and beer!”) On second thoughts, perhaps beer isn’t the best place to start – it’s still early. How about a coffee instead?

Strong and dark, like my first g— oh never mind, let’s just enjoy the coffee

Since the advice has been to take things steady, that’s what we’ve been doing. Walks in the different local parks have been enjoyable, with mornings cooler, sunnier and drier than the more humid and sometimes stormy afternoons. The colours have been a welcome sight!

Bright
So bright
Really bright – and thirsty, too… a drink would be welcome?
…and beer!

I’ll be popping in later today, see what Ol’ Beautiful delivered yesterday. I’ll let you know what I find, but I’m thinking probably a bottle of wine? And beer?! I could get used to overdoing the not overdoing it.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I am a would be outdoorsman - that is if I had more time, skills and knowledge. When I can, I love being outdoors, just camping, hiking, snowboarding, xc skiing, snowshoeing, paddling a canoe or trying something new. What I lack in ability, I make up for in enthusiasm and having a go. I'd never really survive for long out there in the wild, but I enjoy pretending I could if I had to...

  1. I do love cities with lots of green areas, and water running through the city (by the look of your photo) does make a city more inviting (in the eyes of a country girl). I’m glad you’re settling in.

    1. It’s been a colourful summer so far, so thank you rain! And yes, clearer skies than before, although as you note, still a serious wildfire season…
More sun and showers for us this week – hope your week goes well!

  2. Thanks for the many laughs throughout this one, starting with the title!! Love the shot of the flowers and city and had to laugh again at the beer van! Calgary looks beautiful in the summer and glad to see you’re out slowly enjoying the city. Was glad to read today that football is back in England this weekend and hope it’s another good season for Everton!!😎

    1. Thank you! Calgary in a rainy summer has been very leafy and colourful, and a pleasant place to be!
I see the first match for Everton is at newly promoted Leeds and they have signed Calvert-Lewin. I bet he scores a hat trick, something I can’t remember him doing at Everton… Anyway, new season, new stadium and same old prayer – please avoid relegation!
