Seems a good place to start – and finish (scroll down to the last photo for “…and beer!”) On second thoughts, perhaps beer isn’t the best place to start – it’s still early. How about a coffee instead?

Since the advice has been to take things steady, that’s what we’ve been doing. Walks in the different local parks have been enjoyable, with mornings cooler, sunnier and drier than the more humid and sometimes stormy afternoons. The colours have been a welcome sight!

I’ll be popping in later today, see what Ol’ Beautiful delivered yesterday. I’ll let you know what I find, but I’m thinking probably a bottle of wine? And beer?! I could get used to overdoing the not overdoing it.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Lovely start to the day, Adam. Quench your thirst and have a great weekend!🙂

Thanks, Jane! Can’t go too far wrong with a decent coffee to start the morning, and maybe a glass of something good and cold at the end of the day! Works for us!

I do love cities with lots of green areas, and water running through the city (by the look of your photo) does make a city more inviting (in the eyes of a country girl). I’m glad you’re settling in.

Thanks, Maria! Yes, we’re fortunate to have the Bow and Elbow rivers flowing through the city – very inviting!

I like the colour! We are very lucky in Alberta to have much clearer skies this year even though there are a lot of fires in Canada-over 170!

It’s been a colourful summer so far, so thank you rain! And yes, clearer skies than before, although as you note, still a serious wildfire season…
More sun and showers for us this week – hope your week goes well!

It’s good to see you continue to heal, pc, and have learned the art of not overdoing it. I so enjoyed these summery photos. Sending a big smile your way….

Thanks, Jet! I was quite irritated at first, but I’m (slowly – not overdoing it!) coming to terms with not overdoing anything, to the point where I might be on a permanent slowdown!

Thanks for the many laughs throughout this one, starting with the title!! Love the shot of the flowers and city and had to laugh again at the beer van! Calgary looks beautiful in the summer and glad to see you’re out slowly enjoying the city. Was glad to read today that football is back in England this weekend and hope it’s another good season for Everton!!😎

Thank you! Calgary in a rainy summer has been very leafy and colourful, and a pleasant place to be!
I see the first match for Everton is at newly promoted Leeds and they have signed Calvert-Lewin. I bet he scores a hat trick, something I can’t remember him doing at Everton… Anyway, new season, new stadium and same old prayer – please avoid relegation!
