Chill early fall or late summer morning

Transition time! Scout and I enjoyed a chilly walk yesterday, a bright fall morning shot through with mists and spells of sunshine. Fall foliage is beginning to show, mornings are cooler, but for now we’re still just about hanging on to summer, with at least a hint of warmth most afternoons…

Late summer/early fall

A rather brief post this week as we prepare for what feels like our first longish distance trip in a number of years. Excited for that, and more to follow when we return. Where are we going? Let’s find out next week. Oh, the tension…

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful late summer/early fall weekend! (Any Southern Hemisphere readers will be looking forward to spring – hope it’s a pleasant one!)

I am a would be outdoorsman - that is if I had more time, skills and knowledge. When I can, I love being outdoors, just camping, hiking, snowboarding, xc skiing, snowshoeing, paddling a canoe or trying something new. 1. I would like to see that first scene again taken by you standing more to the left. so the pole is not dead center. The second one is very nice, makes me want to travel down that river or inlet. Scout is just such a good-looking dog! Have an enjoyable weekend.

    1. Thanks, Jane! The Ucluelet Aquarium is located right where I could take a photo as you suggest – next time I’m down there, I’ll see if I can step a little further to the left, aim for a longer view and push the pole to the right!

  2. Beautiful photos and that might be one of my favorites of Scout!! Ok, it’s been such a long time that I had to look up the definition of trip and the only thing that applied is that Harper said I’m trippin’ if I think she wants to leave her toys and travel! Your weather looks and sounds wonderful and hope you had a chance to catch an Everton win and have a great trip!!🐾😁
